Change a user email within the Workleap app
Click Settings > Users > Select user > Change the work email field > Save.
Administrators can update users' Workleap email addresses. This article describes the different ways to do this.
Caution: An Administrator cannot update their own email address. They will need to get another Administrator to update it on their behalf.
Caution: If your organization has been migrated to the new Workleap environment, changing a user's email is no longer possible within the app. Please contact support@workleap.com, and they will complete the task for you.
Tip: If your account currently has a daily sync setup, we recommend deactivating the sync before updating emails to avoid duplicates.
Change user emails through CSV upload
You can change the Workleap emails of multiple users at once by uploading a specifically-formatted CSV file.
1. Create the CSV file
Use Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program to create a CSV file. In Column A, input the emails of each user you want to change (one email address per row). In Column B, input the new email addresses. Don't include any headers or additional information.
Save the spreadsheet as a CSV file. More specifically, a CSV UTF-8 file.
2. Upload the CSV file
Go to our Change user Emails page. Click the Upload icon
to select the CSV file, or drag and drop the file onto the page. After the process is complete, the email addresses will be updated.
Changing user emails through Bulk Provisioning
You can use bulk provisioning to change multiple users' emails (and other information about them) at once.
Caution: The bulk provisioning tool can change more than email addresses. Be cautious not to make any unwanted changes.
