Manage Workleap notifications

Workleap Settings

Workleap sends notifications by email or SMS. Email is the default for everyone, and users who have a phone number on their profile can choose SMS instead.

As an Administrator, you can also connect Slack or Microsoft Teams as delivery methods, then set which method your organization uses by default.

Note: Users can change their preferred notification method in their profile.

Available delivery methods

Email and SMS are available to your organization from the start. No setup is needed.

Slack and Microsoft Teams need to be connected first. Once connected, notifications are sent as private messages in that tool, and your users can select it as their notification method.

You can view both app listings here:

Connect Slack or Microsoft Teams

  1. Log in to Workleap and open Settings.

  2. Select Notifications below Integrations in the side menu.

  3. Select Connect next to Slack or Microsoft Teams, then follow the prompts.

Once connected, the method is marked Active and becomes available to everyone in your organization.

Tip: After connecting Microsoft Teams, you can push the Workleap app to your users so they don't have to install it themselves. See How to remotely install the Workleap app in Microsoft Teams.

Set the default notification method

The default applies to every user who hasn't chosen their own notification method.

  1. Log in to Workleap and open Settings.

  2. Select Notifications below Integrations in the side menu.

  3. Select Set as default next to the method you want.
