Sync history and reports

Workleap Settings

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Sync history page lets you track all user provisioning syncs from your integration and review their status and detailed reports. Each sync report provides a full summary of updates and issues, along with filtering and export options to help you troubleshoot and manage data changes.

To access your sync history, go to Settings > Provisioning > View sync history (Admins only).

Sync history

The sync history page shows a log of all user provisioning syncs from your integration. You can see each sync's status from the list. Select a sync to drill into its sync report.

Sync status

Sync status shows the outcome of an entire sync action. You can see a sync's status from the sync history and sync report view.

The possible values are:

  • Pending:

    • The sync is still processing.

    • You can view the sync report, but you cannot export it until the sync completes.

  • Approved (API Provisioning only):

    • The sync is now manually approved.

    • Updates may be:

      • Applied.

      • Skipped.

      • Logged as issues.

  • Rejected (API Provisioning only):

    • The sync requires approval and was manually rejected.

    • No updates are applied.

  • Failed:

    • The sync is unsuccessful due to a system or integration error.

    • Updates may be partially applied.

Sync reports

Sync reports show an exhaustive list of all updates and issues that occurred during a single sync with your data source (e.g., your HRIS).

Tip: You can select Run new sync at the top of a sync report to review your user provisioning settings and re-attempt the sync.

Summary

The sync report summary at the top of the report shows:

  • Updates: Shows the number of updates that were successfully applied.

    • For reference only.

  • Issues: Indicates that an update was skipped due to a data issue.

    • Shows the number of issues and the amount of impacted users or teams.

    • Select Troubleshooting to see suggested solutions.

  • Data source.

  • Start date and time.

Filter a sync report

You can filter sync reports by data type, such as:

  • Users.

  • Teams.

  • User name.

  • Issue type:

    • User skipped.

    • No Workleap profile for Direct Manager.

    • Workspace limit reached.

  • Update type:

    • Direct Manager assigned.
