Use this article to follow the progress of a review cycle in Workleap and remind the people who are late. The cycle's Progression tab shows who has submitted, who is overdue, and whose results were shared; Workleap sends reminders on its own around each due date, and you can send a nudge with your own message.
Who can use it: Executives and Collaborators for the whole cycle; Direct Managers for their reporting line. The nudge is limited the same way.
Read the Progression tab
The Progression tab of a review cycle is where you see what is done and what is late.
Log in to Workleap and go to Org, then Review cycles, and select the cycle. Managers can also open an active cycle from its card on Home, which already shows the submitted counts per review type.
Read the cards at the top: one per review type (SELF REVIEWS, MANAGER REVIEWS, PEER REVIEWS, UPWARD REVIEWS) with the percentage submitted, the count, and the due date.
Read the list below: one row per reviewee with a status per review type in the SELF, MANAGER, PEER, and UPWARD columns (Not started, In progress, a check mark when submitted, Overdue, or a count such as 0 / 3 for peers), and DELIVERY (Not delivered or Shared).
Expand a row to see each review with its reviewer and due date, including a Temporary badge on a temporary manager.
How the statuses work: a review is Overdue when it isn't submitted and its own due date has passed; being overdue never stops someone from submitting, only a lock does. A review that locked without being submitted counts as not submitted, never as overdue, so a locked cycle shows zero overdue. On a hire-date cycle the total grows as people enter, so a completion percentage can go down from one week to the next.
Find who is late or missing something
Filters on the Progression tab narrow the list to the people you need to act on.
Use Search reviewees to find one person.
Select + Add filter above the list to filter by Self review, Manager review, or Delivery status.
Select Exceptions to list reviewees with a gap, for example No peer reviewers.
Use the + Add filter above the tabs to scope the whole cycle to Direct managers, Reporting lines, Segment, Department, Gender, Work location, Role level, Job title, Tenure, or Track. Select Clear filters to reset.
What Workleap reminds automatically
Every review in a review cycle gets three automatic reminders around its own due date: 3 business days before, on the due date, and 1 business day after. They go to the person who owes the review, stop once it is submitted or locked, and skip weekends. Managers see overdue reviews in their daily digest. You don't configure them. See What emails and reminders does a review cycle send?
Send a nudge
A nudge is a reminder you send yourself from the review cycle, with your own message, to the people who still have tasks to finish.
On the cycle page, select Send a nudge at the top right.
Under NUDGE PEOPLE TO:, check what you want to remind: Complete their self-review, Complete their manager reviews, Share results with the reviewee, and, in a cycle that requires acknowledgment, acknowledge their shared reviews. Each line shows how many people it reaches and how late they are.
Under ADD A MESSAGE TO YOUR NUDGE, keep or rewrite the default message. It is sent in your name.
Select Send nudges. Each person receives one email listing only the tasks they still owe.
You are never nudged yourself, even if you owe a review. In a cycle that requires acknowledgment, reviewees who have acknowledged are left out, and so are their reviewers. Workleap records whether a review was submitted after a nudge.
Tip: Nudge after the automatic overdue reminder, not before it, and say in your message when the cycle will lock. People respond to a date.
Export the progression report
The progression of a review cycle can be taken out of Workleap for a steering meeting.
On the cycle page, select Export.
Under PROGRESSION REPORT, pick Charts and tables (PDF) or Raw data (CSV). The ALL REVIEWS options export the reviews themselves; see How do I read the results of one review cycle?
Limitations and workarounds
A passed due date closes nothing. Late reviews can still be submitted until the review or the cycle locks. See How do I lock a review cycle or give a reviewer more time?
Managers nudge their reporting line only. Ask an Executive or Collaborator to nudge beyond it.
Two admins in different time zones can see slightly different overdue counts, because "today" is each viewer's day.
