Use this article to get a recap of a 1:1 you organize in Workleap. When the meeting ends, Workleap collects the transcript from your connected note-taking app and writes the recap; you can also tell the Workleap agent what happened and it writes the recap from your account.
Who can use it: the organizer of the 1:1, with the Meetings feature. Direct Managers are the primary audience; Employees get the same for the 1:1s they organize.
Note: Meetings is available in the new Workleap experience only, and works differently from Officevibe 1-on-1s.
Before you start
The 1:1 appears in Workleap. See How do I prepare a 1:1 with the Workleap agent?
A note-taking app connected to Workleap: Granola on a paid plan, or Loom through your Atlassian account.
The meeting is recorded in that app.
Connect your note-taking app
Connect your app once, from any 1:1, and every recap after that is collected for you.
Open a 1:1 and scroll to Recap.
If no app is connected, the Recap section says so. Select the connect prompt and sign in to Granola or Loom.
Back on the 1:1, the Recap section reads Your recap will appear here after the meeting.
Connecting your note-taking app is a personal integration, like your calendar: it reads your own recordings only, and nobody else gains access through it.
What happens after the meeting ends
When a 1:1 ends, Workleap looks for its transcript in your note-taking app and writes the recap from it.
Collection starts as soon as the meeting ends and keeps looking for up to one hour, checking less often as time passes.
The recap is written once enough sources are gathered. If a transcript shows up late, Workleap picks it up within that hour.
You receive a Recap ready notification with the first line of the recap and a link to the meeting.
The agent also proposes the commitments it heard as suggestions in Action items; you keep or dismiss each one. See the Action Items articles.
The meeting page checks for the recap every minute during that hour, so you can leave it open.
Read and edit the recap
The recap appears in the Recap section of the meeting, marked Only you until you share it, with Synced from [app] when it came from your note-taking app.
Open the 1:1 and scroll to Recap.
Read it. The recap is written in your preferred language, whatever language the meeting was held in, and in the agent's own words, never a copy of the transcript.
To change it with the agent, select Edit the recap and pick a suggestion or type your request: "Make it shorter", "Show me what was recorded", "She said Thursday, not Friday". To change it by hand, edit the text with the toolbar (Text, Heading, Quote, Divider).
Editing the recap, by hand or through the agent, takes over from automatic collection: Workleap stops looking for a transcript for that meeting, and the section shows the recap as edited.
Write the recap yourself when nothing was recorded
If nothing recorded the meeting, tell the Workleap agent what happened. It saves your account as the recap, in the same place.
Open the 1:1 after it has ended and scroll to Recap.
Select the action shown in the Recap section, or open the agent and say "Nothing recorded my 1:1 with Ada, here's what we covered".
The agent offers to show you what was recorded, redo the recap from a fresh sweep of your app, or take the account you give it. Tell it what happened, or paste your notes.
Review the result. The recap now shows as edited by hand.
A recap written from your account carries no sources, because there is no record behind it.
Share the recap with your team member
The recap is yours until you share it. You can share it on its own, without the agenda.
Open the 1:1 once the recap is ready and you have read it, and select Share.
In Share with [name], check Recap, and Agenda & Notes if you want both.
Select Share. The Recap badge changes to Shared with [name].
Your team member is notified the first time you share and gets a read-only view of the recap. The transcript, your private notes and the Context panel are never shared. See What do I see in a 1:1 my manager organizes, as an employee?
What the Recap section tells you
Until a recap exists, the Recap section says why.
The meeting hasn't started or ended: Your recap will appear here after the meeting.
Workleap is still looking for the transcript: wait, or tell the agent what happened.
Nothing was found in your app for this meeting: check that the meeting was recorded, ask the agent to look again, or tell it what happened.
Your note-taking app couldn't be reached: try again later, or tell the agent what happened.
No note-taking app is connected: connect one from the Recap section.
On the meetings list, a completed 1:1 shows Recap when one exists and No recap otherwise.
Limitations and workarounds
Supported apps. Granola on a paid plan, and Loom through Atlassian. Google Meet, Teams and Notion are not supported yet. Tell the agent what happened instead.
One-hour window. A transcript that lands more than an hour after the meeting is not picked up. Ask the agent to redo the recap, or tell it what happened.
The transcript is never stored. Workleap reads it to write the recap and keeps only the recap and the name of the source. The other person never sees a transcript or a provider.
Organizer only. The other person sees the recap only once you share it, read-only.
Deleting the 1:1 in Workleap removes the agenda, notes and recap. It does not touch the event in your calendar.
