Continuous feedback overview

Performance

Updated this week

Continuous feedback in Workleap Performance helps your organization exchange timely ideas in a simple and natural way. Continuous feedback supports community growth and self-improvement outside of review cycles.

Continuous feedback is also fully integrated with Workleap AI to simplify the writing process and ensure a constructive tone.

How continuous feedback works

  • Share constructive, continuous feedback in real time for quick course correction.

  • Build trust and alignment through continuous feedback conversations between coworkers.

  • Use Workleap AI-powered refinement to make continuous feedback easier to write.

  • Receive regular reminders to share continuous feedback with peers.

Tip: Encourage coworkers to:

  • Share continuous feedback regularly.

  • Keep continuous feedback timely, clear, and focused on growth.

  • Use continuous feedback as input during one 1-on-1s and check-ins.

AI continuous feedback refinement

Workleap AI-powered refinement helps:

  • Refine your continuous feedback clearly in a kind, constructive tone.

  • Provide emotionally aware prompts to make continuous feedback feel natural.

    • For example, when refining text, you'll see selectable prompts to alter the tone as you like.

Workleap AI refinement for continuous feedback supports English and French.

Note: Though you have full control over the message before sending, you cannot disable AI refinement for continuous feedback.

Give continuous feedback

You can send continuous feedback to your peers at any time. View Workleap Performance's list of suggested peers based on your peer review activity, team structure, and reporting lines. Or, use the search bar to find any Employee.

  • Workleap AI provides suggestions to help you start or refine your message.

    • You can edit based on the suggestions, or write your own continuous feedback.

Tip: Remember to maintain a constructive, positive tone with clear, actionable improvements. When in doubt, try the Refine my feedback button for help.

How to give continuous feedback

To give continuous feedback:

  1. Sign in to Workleap and open Workleap Performance.

  2. Select Feedback from the sidebar.

  3. Select Send feedback.

  4. Select a suggested colleague or use the search bar to find a specific coworker.

  5. Select Continue.

  6. Start entering feedback into the text box.

    1. AI refinement means there's no need to worry about perfect grammar or formatting. A short sentence or two is a great start for continuous feedback.

  7. Select Refine my feedback to optimize your text.

    1. Workleap AI reworks your text into constructive, clear, actionable feedback based on your input.

    2. Below the refined text, there are tonal refinement prompts and a text box.

      1. As needed, select a tonal prompt (e.g., more casual, more direct, etc.) to update the tone. You can also use the text box to ask Workleap AI to refine the text however you like (e.g., avoid the term "meeting", give more context, etc.)

      2. You can also manually edit the feedback text, however you like.

  8. When your continuous feedback is ready to send, select Send feedback to [Colleague].

Who can see continuous feedback?

Only you and the recipient can see continuous feedback. Managers and HR leaders cannot view an Employee's continuous feedback.

Note: The recipient can see who sent them continuous feedback.

Receiving continuous feedback

When you receive continuous feedback, you get a notification that directs you to Workleap Performance. Continuous feedback is designed to feel timely, safe, and actionable.

Continuous feedback reminders

Employees receive monthly email reminders to encourage continuous feedback. These reminders suggest peers based on past peer review interactions, but you can choose to write continuous feedback for any colleague.

Note: Continuous feedback reminders cannot be disabled.
