Send and receive continuous feedback for Employees

Performance

Updated this week

Continuous feedback is a simple way to share helpful thoughts with your peers, anytime, not just during review cycles. It helps teams grow, stay aligned, and improve together.

Workleap AI-powered refinement makes writing feedback easier by suggesting ways to improve your message in a thoughtful, constructive tone.

What is continuous feedback?

Continuous feedback helps teams grow through timely, relevant conversations without waiting for a review cycle.

Continuous feedback supports performance and development by:

  • Driving immediate impact with in-the-moment thoughts.

  • Fostering alignment and trust through ongoing communication.

  • Supporting faster course correction.

  • Making feedback feel safe and natural with AI-assisted prompts.

How to send continuous feedback

To give continuous feedback:

  1. Sign in to Workleap and open Workleap Performance.

  2. Select Feedback from the sidebar.

  3. Select Send feedback.

  4. Select a suggested colleague or use the search bar to find a specific coworker.

  5. Select Continue.

  6. Start entering feedback into the text box.

    1. AI refinement means there's no need to worry about perfect grammar or formatting. A short sentence or two is a great start for continuous feedback.

  7. Select Refine my feedback to optimize your text.

    1. Workleap AI reworks your text into constructive, clear, actionable feedback based on your input.

    2. Below the refined text, there are tonal refinement prompts and a text box.

      1. As needed, select a tonal prompt (e.g., more casual, more direct, etc.) to update the tone. You can also use the text box to ask Workleap AI to refine the text however you like (e.g., avoid the term "meeting", give more context, etc.)

      2. You can also manually edit the continuous feedback text, however you like.

  8. When your continuous feedback is ready to send, select Send feedback to [Colleague].

You can change or rewrite the message before sending; you're always in control of what's shared.

Receiving continuous feedback

If someone sends you continuous feedback:

  • You get a notification from Workleap Performance (depending on your org's settings, this could be an email, SMS, Slack, or Teams message).

  • You can read the message and use it to grow or adjust your work.

  • Only you can see continuous feedback from peers; it’s not shared with your manager or HR.

Helpful reminders

  • Each month, you’ll get a reminder email encouraging you to share continuous feedback with a coworker.

  • Suggestions are based on past performance review activity, but you can select any Employee in your organization.

  • Built-in AI refinement can help polish your message, but it won’t send anything automatically.
