Direct Managers play a key role in employee growth. They are responsible for completing the performance reviews of the Employees they manage.

What can Direct Managers do in a review cycle?

Direct Managers are automatically assigned to review their direct reports in a review cycle.

They can:

  • View the review cycle details.

  • Fill out and submit review forms for their direct reports.

  • View peer feedback shared with their direct reports.

  • Access self-assessments completed by their direct reports.

  • View the summary of the review cycle.

How to access your reviews

To view your assigned reviews:

  1. Go to the Review cycles section from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the active cycle assigned to you.

  3. Open the review forms for your direct reports.

You’ll see a list of Employees and their corresponding forms.

What happens after you submit a review?

Once you submit a review:

  • The Employee can view your feedback.

  • The form is locked and cannot be edited.

  • You can still view the submitted review at any time.

If you need to update a submitted review, contact an Administrator.

Tips for writing helpful reviews

To write effective reviews:

  • Be specific and objective.

  • Use examples to support your points.

  • Keep your tone constructive and professional.

  • Highlight strengths and opportunities for growth.

Can you see reviews from others?

As a Direct Manager, you can view:

  • Self-assessments completed by your direct reports.

  • Peer reviews submitted to your direct reports, if sharing is enabled.

  • Reviews from other managers about your direct reports, if your Admin has given access.

You cannot view:

  • Reviews submitted to Employees who are not your direct reports.

  • Private feedback between other reviewers and the Employee.
