Performance

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Direct Managers play a key role in employee growth. They are responsible for completing the performance reviews of the employees they manage.

This article explains how performance reviews work for Direct Managers in Workleap Performance.

Workleap Performance reviews give you vital information about your employees' achievements, pain points, and career goals.

Tip: Workleap Performance Goals are now the backbone of performance management. You can set, track, and review goals in one place, with built-in AI support, reporting, and direct integration into performance reviews.

Existing Officevibe goals can also be migrated into Workleap Performance.

What can Direct Managers do in a review cycle?

As a Direct Manager, you are automatically assigned to review your direct reports in a review cycle.

You can:

  • View the review cycle details.

  • Complete and submit manager reviews on your direct reports.

  • Share your manager review with the direct report(s) you reviewed (if enabled).

  • View peer reviews on your direct reports.

  • Access self-reviews completed by your direct reports.

  • View the summary of the review cycle.

Access your reviews

To view your assigned reviews:

  1. Go to the Review cycles section from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the active cycle assigned to you.

  3. Open the review form for your direct reports or peers to fill out the review.

Workleap AI insight: Workleap AI provides summaries and insights from your direct report's peer and self-reviews in the manager review form, making it simple to highlight key points.

Select View summary on the review form (if applicable) to view feedback from other reviews. The reviewer is clearly indicated next to their feedback.

Direct Managers and Executives can also select a reviewee in a review cycle's details to see a Workleap AI-powered global summary of all a reviewee's feedback during a review cycle.

Submit and share a manager review

After finishing a direct report's manager review, select Submit review at the bottom of the form to mark the review as complete.

You can re-open the review and make changes until the review cycle is locked. Your direct reports do not see your manager review unless you share it with them (optional).

Tip: We recommend discussing your manager review with your direct report before sharing it with them.
