Notifications
Users receive two types of automated email notifications—reminders and event-based notifications. Reminders are sent automatically based on the review cycle's due date, while event-based notifications are sent when a user performs a specific action.
Reminders
Users receive three email reminders about review cycles that include them:
Three business days before the due date
On the due date
The business day following the due date (if not yet submitted)
Event-based notifications
In addition to reminders, three actions cause users to receive an email notification:
Launching a review cycle (shows the due date)
Submitting a review
Sharing a review (manager and peer reviews only)
Review types
There are three types of Performance reviews:
Self-review - Reviewees complete an assessment on themselves
Peer review - Peers who work closely together assess each other
Manager review - Direct Managers assess their direct reports
Note: All users can be assigned as peer reviewers regardless of their role, team, or inclusion in the review cycle.
Reviews list
The Reviews list shows all current and past review cycles that include you or your direct reports. You can see the review type and each review's status.
Tip: Due dates appear in the upper right-hand corner of each review cycle.
Fill out a review
To start or edit a review:
Open Workleap Performance and select a review cycle or select Start review from an email notification.
Answer all review questions.
When complete, select Submit at the bottom of the form.
Note: Your review progress auto saves periodically. If the All changes saved indicator appears at the bottom of the form, you can close the review and pick up where you left off at any time.
Assign peers
Direct Managers must assign peer reviewers for their employees. Talk with your employees to determine which peers they'd like to assign.
Note: Be sure to give the assigned peer reviewers enough time to complete their peer review before the review cycle's due date.
Tip: If you or your direct reports are part of a review cycle that includes peer reviews, you'll get an email notification asking you to assign peers for your direct reports.
To assign peer reviewers:
Open Workleap Performance and select Assign peers next to one of your direct reports in the Reviews list.
Start typing the name of the employee you want to assign as a peer reviewer and select them from the drop-down that appears.
The pop-up shows the review cycle's recommended number of peer reviewers.
Your Administrator sets the recommended number of peers, but you can assign up to 10 peer reviewers per employee per review cycle.
When all desired peer reviewers have been selected, select Save.
Follow the status of your direct reports' peer reviews from the Reviews list.
Note: Only Direct Managers can assign peer reviewers for their direct reports.
