In Workleap Compensation, pay band zones allow you to break down your pay bands into smaller segments based on your compensation philosophy. These zones help promote transparency and provide employees with clearer insight into their compensation.
Configure pay band zones
To get started, go to Configuration in the navigation menu and select Pay Bands. Scroll to the Pay Band Zones section.
To enable pay band zones:
Toggle the setting to On.
Choose how you want to define your zones:
Compa-ratio.
Range penetration.
You can configure:
The number of zone intervals.
Specific percentage ranges for each zone.
Custom zone names (e.g., Entry, Mid, Target).
Optional descriptions to explain how each zone is defined.
Zone names and descriptions appear throughout the platform, including the People page and the Total Rewards portal, if enabled.
View pay band zones in the platform
Once enabled, you can filter employees by pay band zone on the People page.
If you have the Total Rewards portal configured, employees will also see their zone displayed in their individual portal. This includes:
Their position within the band
Their assigned zone
Their current compa-ratio
Tooltip descriptions for added context (if configured)
To enable pay band zones in the Total Rewards portal:
Go to Configuration.
Click Display Options under Total Rewards.
Select the Pay Band tab.
Toggle on Pay Band Zone.
