Use this article to share a team member's review results with them in Workleap. Nothing a manager, peer, or upward reviewer wrote is visible to the reviewee until you share, and even then they see only the questions the cycle set to be shared. You preview exactly what they will see before you confirm.
Who can use it: Direct Managers for their reporting line, Executives for anyone, and Temporary Direct Managers for their assigned reviewees while the cycle is unlocked. Collaborators share only through those same relationships.
Before you start
You have submitted your manager review. You can share before peers submit, but what they write later becomes visible to the reviewee as it comes in.
Read the review before sharing
The review page gathers every review about the person, so you can read it all before you decide.
Log in to Workleap and go to Team, then the Reviews tab, and select the person's row. The SHARING column reads NOT SHARED.
On the review page, read the participants (REVIEWEE, MANAGER, PEER) with their Submitted dates, the AI SUMMARY card, and each question with the answers labelled by author: Self-review, Manager review, Peer review.
The page says who can see it: Visible to [name]'s direct manager and higher-ups. That stays true until you share.
Share the results
Sharing is one decision per reviewee per cycle: it covers all their reviews at once.
On the review page, select Preview and share.
The Preview shared review page shows the review as the reviewee will see it. The banner lists what is included: the manager answers they have access to, the self-review answers, and peer or upward answers if the cycle shares them. Peer answers hidden by the cycle, and the AI summary, don't appear.
Select Share to confirm, or Cancel to come back later.
The SHARING column switches to shared, the reviewee receives the Manager Review Shared email with a link to their results, and your action item closes.
Important: Any edits made after sharing are visible to the reviewee too. If you change an answer later, they see the new version.
Which questions the reviewee sees was decided in the cycle settings, per question and per audience (SHARED WITH THE REVIEWEE). Whether peer and upward names are shown is the cycle's Author names setting. See How do I write the questions of a review cycle?
Share for several people at once
An Executive or Collaborator can share, or unshare, results for many reviewees from the cycle itself.
Go to Org > Review cycles, open the cycle, and on the Progression tab check the reviewees. The DELIVERY column shows Not delivered or Shared.
Select Share or Unshare in the bar that appears. Managers who haven't shared can be nudged with Send a nudge and the option Share results with the reviewee.
Unshare
Unsharing takes the results back from the reviewee without deleting anything. It needs the same access as sharing, and it is impossible in a cycle that requires acknowledgment, whether or not the person has acknowledged yet.
Track acknowledgment
In a review cycle that requires formal acknowledgment, the reviewee confirms they have read their results after you share.
A shared review not yet acknowledged shows as awaiting acknowledgment. The active cycles overview shows how many reviewees have acknowledged out of those shared with.
Remind them with Send a nudge and the option to acknowledge shared reviews, or wait: they also have an action item Acknowledge your review, marked high priority.
Once they acknowledge, every review about them is frozen: no edits, no new submissions, no reviewer added or removed. Your daily digest tells you when it happens.
Limitations and workarounds
Sharing doesn't reveal hidden questions. If a reviewee says they can't see an answer, the question wasn't set to be shared. Only an Executive or Collaborator can change that in the cycle settings.
Temporary managers can't share in a locked cycle. The regular manager or an Executive can.
No unsharing with acknowledgment required. Fix the answer instead; the edit is visible to the reviewee.
The AI summary is never shared. Export the Reviewee version PDF from the ⋮ menu if the person needs a copy of what they can see.
