Use Workleap AI directly from Microsoft Teams. Install the Workleap AI Teams app to get instant answers and support without switching tools.
During Workleap AI's early access period, the Workleap AI for Teams app will require installation via a custom upload.
Note: You must be an Admin in both Workleap and Microsoft Teams to complete this setup.
Note: Workleap AI never syncs your Teams data or conversations.
1. Authenticate with Teams
Click Connect next to Microsoft Teams and log in with your Microsoft 365 account.
In the modal, click Connect your Teams workspace and log in with your Microsoft 365 account to authorize.
2. Add Workleap AI to your organization’s app catalogue
Download the Workleap AI for Teams app .zip file.
Go to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
Navigate to Apps > Manage your Apps.
Upload the Workleap AI App:
Click Upload an app then Upload a custom app.
Select the zip file you downloaded in step 1.
When the upload is finished, click Add.
Note: It can take some time for the app to appear in the Admin Center. The Teams app (desktop) may not update immediately.
Important: The zip file must be uploaded to the Admin Center, not via the Teams app.
3. Install Workleap AI for all Teams users
Go to Apps > Setup Policies.
Create or edit a policy:
You can create a new policy or edit an existing one.
Every tenant has a Global (Org-wide default) policy by default. Edit this policy to install Workleap AI for all Teams users.
To control which Teams users have Workleap AI installed, create a new policy.
Under Installed Apps, add Workleap AI.
Under Pinned Apps, add Workleap AI.
Apply the Policy:
Assign the policy to all users (or a specific group, if you created a custom Policy).
This will auto-install Workleap AI for them.
It can take up to 24 hours for the policy to apply across your organization.
Manual installation
If users do not see the app immediately after you apply your policy, it can be added manually:
Open Microsoft Teams (we recommend using the web client for quicker updates).
Go to Apps > Built for your org.
Search for Workleap AI and click Install.
