The Gong integration lets the Workleap Agent answer questions from your Gong calls and emails. You connect with your own Gong account, and the agent sees only what that account can see. Before anyone can connect, a Gong admin registers the Workleap Agent in Gong. This is done once for the whole Gong workspace.
Before you start
A Workleap account with access to the Workleap Agent.
Personal integrations allowed in your organization. If Gong is missing from your Connected apps list, ask a Workleap admin.
A paid Gong seat. Gong does not let collaborator seats connect AI agents.
A Gong admin with the Tech admin role, for the one-time registration below.
Register the Workleap Agent in Gong
A Gong tech admin does this once. If Workleap AI already appears in the MCP Server tab with the status Enabled, skip to the next section.
In Gong, go to Admin center > Settings > Ecosystem > MCP.
Open the MCP Server tab and click New MCP server integration.
Fill in the form with the values below, then click Save.

Important: Gong does not let you change the Registration type or the Authorization context after you save. If one is wrong, delete the integration and create a new one. Also add both redirect URLs, because Workleap has two places to connect from and each one uses a different URL.
After you save, Workleap AI shows as Enabled, with the type Automatic and the auth Personal access. Gong issues no client ID or secret, and there is nothing to enter in Workleap. Everyone in your organization with a paid Gong seat can now connect.

Gong credits
Gong charges credits for requests made through its MCP server, based on how much call and email data each request analyzes. Each question the agent sends to Gong uses your Gong credits. See How MCP server tools and APIs consume credits in Gong's help center.
Connect your Gong account
Open Connected apps from your account settings. In the agent, you can also click Sources, then Connect more sources.
Find Gong and click Connect. A Gong window opens.
Sign in to Gong and approve access.
The window closes and Gong shows as connected.
The agent can use Gong from your next message.
Use the app
Ask the agent a question about an account, a deal, or a customer conversation. It decides when to ask Gong, and it uses your account.
What the agent can get from Gong:
Answers about your accounts and deals, based on their calls and emails
Briefs to prepare a meeting or review a deal
Gong decides which tools its MCP server offers, so this list can change when Gong updates it.
Examples:
"What did Acme raise in our last three calls?"
"Which risks came up on the Globex deal this quarter?"
"Brief me on Initech before my call tomorrow."
Answers respect your Gong permissions. Private calls and calls your Gong user cannot open stay out of the answers.
How your data is handled
The connection is yours. The agent reads Gong only when you ask, and only for you.
Nothing is synced, copied, or indexed. Answers and the excerpts behind them stay in your own conversations.
Your Gong data is never used to train AI models.

Disconnect the app
Open Connected apps.
Next to Gong, click Disconnect.
What happens:
Workleap deletes your stored Gong sign-in right away. The agent can no longer read Gong for you.
Past answers stay in your conversations.
The Workleap AI integration stays in Gong, so others stay connected.
You can connect again at any time.
Remove the integration from Gong
A Gong tech admin can stop the Workleap Agent for the whole Gong workspace. In Gong, go to Admin center > Settings > Ecosystem > MCP, then the MCP Server tab.
To pause it: on the Workleap AI row, click the ⋮ menu, then Disable.
To remove it for good: on the Workleap AI row, click the ⋮ menu, then Edit. At the bottom of the page, under Delete integration, click Delete.
What happens:
Gong revokes Workleap's access for every user. The agent can no longer read Gong for any of them.
Disabling revokes every sign-in. After you enable it again, each person connects again.
Deleting is permanent. To use Gong again, register the Workleap Agent again first.
In Workleap, Gong may still appear as connected. Click Disconnect to remove the stored sign-in.
Nothing in Gong is changed or deleted. Past answers stay in Workleap conversations.
Troubleshooting
Message or symptom | What to do |
